Why are we in the marketplace and what can we do to make the marketplace our mission field?
Marketplace leadership starts with the “WHY” we are in the marketplace in the first place. I want to open this course by addressing the all-important question as to what our desires are and what we want to accomplish. Is it making money? Becoming wealthy? Achieving professional success or status? Is it for any other reasons that we are in the marketplace?
The WHY must be answered because it directs where, how and how much we focus, efforts. In the end, the "WHY" determines our direction in the marketplace and succss as marketplace leaders.
NEED TO CHANGE DESCRIPTION ---This 17-Minutes video lays the premise or foundation behind what true marketplace leadership is. In this module, you will learn six key principles of true leadership. A few of the subjects covered include: Marketplace leaders lead by action and not word alone. True servant leaders don't brag about their accomplishments because what is seen is greater that what is self-promoted. Good marketplace leaders understand that all leaders are under the authority of God, and as such we are truly servants-servant leaders.
CHANGE DESCRIPTION: - True leadership is defined by “doing the right thing” as opposed to doing the wrong thing. Doing “the right thing” however runs in contrast to the growing secular economic pressure which is putting downward pressure to obtain short-term success at the expense of “doing the right thing”.
We will look at the ethics and moral values that allow for us bring value to our customers, company and the marketplace by DOING THE RIGHT THING-Fostering Long Term Value, Not Short Gain. In this module I am going to show you that despite the current secular trend of obtaining short-term success and profit at the cost of long-term business, that doing “the right thing” is more profitable and rewarding.
NEED TO CHANGE True leaders adhere to the timeless moral and ethical standards that have governed the world for thousands of years. But while most modern-contemporary leaders recognize and even acknowledge these timeless moral standards, they rarely esteem or hold them in any form of high regard. In today's module I am going to show you how you and I as marketplace leaders can be individuals who live and lead by a set of unmovable, unchangeable (ultimate) principles that will help us better live and lead without compromise-even under the pressure of expediency. In return, by applying these timeless moral and ethical standards we can and will turn this world right side up again!
